Goal of the Game
To win a game of Farkle 10,000 you need to have the highest score at the end of the final round. The final round is the round in which one player reaches or surpasses the target score (default: 10,000). In a solo game you play for a set number of rounds instead.
How to Play
Each player takes turns rolling the dice. You roll all six dice on the start of your turn. A 1 or 5, three of a kind, three pairs and a straight with all six dice earn points. Whenever you roll the dice you need to select at least one die for scoring. If you cannot do so, you get a Farkle and receive 0 points for the round. If you select dice for scoring, you set them aside and note their points.
You can then choose to bank those points and permanently add them to your total score if you surpassed the minimum for banking.
You can also continue rolling the dice you have left. When you continue to roll the dice you can only score the dice you just rolled and you cannot combine them with those scored before. If you roll again but cannot score any of the newly rolled dice, you get a Farkle and all points for the round are lost. If you bank or get a Farkle, you pass the turn to the next player. If you score all six dice, you re-roll all of them and keep adding to your score for the round. If you Farkle three times in a row, i.e. when you score 0 points in three consecutive rounds, you lose points.
Every 1 can be scored for 100 points each, every 5 for 50 points each. Three of a kind are worth 100 times the number on the die or 1,000 in the case of a 1 (e.g. 5-5-5 = 500, 2-2-2 = 200, 1-1-1 = 1,000). Three pairs are worth 750 points, a straight with all six dice is worth 1,500 points.
You can double the score of three of a kind by adding more of the same kind. So, a four of a kind is worth twice as much as a three of a kind, and a five of a kind is worth twice as much as a four of a kind and so on (e.g. 6-6-6 = 600, 6-6-6-6 = 1,200, 6-6-6-6-6 = 2,400).
1 = 100 points
5 = 50 points
1 + 1 + 1 = 1,000 points
2 + 2 + 2 = 200 points
3 + 3 + 3 = 300 points
4 + 4 + 4 = 400 points
5 + 5 + 5 = 500 points
6 + 6 + 6 = 600 points
1 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 6 + 6 = 750 points (ex. for three pairs)
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 1,500 points
Doubling Three-of-a-Kind (Example)
3 + 3 + 3 = 300 points
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 300 x 2 = 600 points
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 300 x 2 x 2 = 1,200 points
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 300 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 2,400 points
